Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to post some information about our upcoming feature film, War Of The Dead to be directed by our good friend Jesse Knight. Blake Faucette (myself) will be producing, Micah Moore (director of Dogs Of Chinatown) will DP and Andy Coon will be doing sound. It’s basically a hi-tech war film set in the near future and has a lot of zombies running around and causing trouble. Kind of a futuristic Private Ryan meets Resident Evil (without the crappy adaption of a popular video game). We are looking for some one to help us out with makeup effects. Being that this is a zombie film there will be some very elaborate make up effects. Some we already have actors in mind from our regulars but feel free to audition for any part. Shooting will take place in Brasstown, NC and Greensboro, NC. Jesse will be coming to Greensboro this weekend so that we can knock out some pre-production stuff and audition people. Any actors interested in auditioning can schedule some time with Jesse or myself (hit us up at the email addresses above). He’ll be in town this weekend and can audition people Saturday and Sunday. And lastly from me, we will probably turn to Chris Hurn for the score but will be looking for Metal songs to include in the soundtrack. Any bands out there interested can also hit up the above emails.

Casting:
There are several people I already have in mind for rolls in this film. That being said I am still highly interested in having an open audition to all interested parties who feel that they best exhibit the characters listed below. Please call my cell (828) 557-3673 to schedule a good time to meet up and have an audition.

Dr. Jevans (Evan, just come to Blake’s shop when you get a chance). Angry scientist that knows too much and approaches life with a dangerous cane and a scowl.

Kay (cast in my mind as well) Capable of herding a bunch of retarded scientists around like sheep. The true ruler of the lab next to Dr. Jevans.

Sucio (cast in my mind) Nervous funny lab assistant that would rather be on vacation than checking dead bodies for life. He escapes and basically helps spreads the Necro-PAX to the populace. He must be capable of being very afraid for his life in a very almost over the top way but only after a slow build. In the beginning he is very cool making fun of his superior, but it’s funny how all that goes out the window when you see a dead guy eating another person.

Captain Nick Adimas (Anthony, I’m thinking your my Neo here. Not sure when you’ll be able to make it our way but it being such a great part with great lines it would be good to see some other folks act it out for not other reason than some kind of unforseeable emergency. The captain is a general all purpose seasoned warrior and badass with a good yet troubled heart, capable of leading an army if he has to along with fighting back his very human feelings for the lovely Lieutenant Kali).

SGT. Gregor Sams (most definitely cast in stone) the terminator of the story crossed with a couple of badasses from the anime “Ninja Scroll.”

Max “Itchy” Mitchell (badass sniper already cast in my mind) Saving private Ryan sniper dude crossed with Snake Eyes from GIJOE fame.

LT. Kali Romera (cast in mind) the captain’s equal in every measure of toughness.

Mayor Chad Reese (cast in heart and soul) backstabbing materialistic money grubbing wheeler of unfortunate deals.

Johny (bro. to Jesse, likes Jesse to be wrong)

Jesse (bro. to Johny, likes to be right)

Chief Colonial Officer Mr. Isaac Norman Diggs (cast in mind, corporate mastermind, capable of killing all those around him just to be the one on top and pulling the strings even if it means he dies in the process).

Collings (scientist whose job it is to set up a video camera in a lab and other tasks)

Private Micca (scared communications soldier, gets blown up but needs to stutter before being blasted, part of very intense battle scene)

Corporal Flint Wattler (carries a heavy mod chain gun, capable of killing and killing and killing and…

Corporal Karen Booth (carries a heavy mod chain gun as well and is equally if not more of a killing machine than Wattler.

Private Miguel Bay (young soldier in Adimas’s unit, part of very intense battle scene)

Sergeant Williams (soldier that dies horribly from zombie. Must be comfortable with having their privates bitten off by disembodied head).

Naked zombie woman (must be able to drop their heads back behind their body kinda like a scorpion tale does. Other than that they must be good at being a beautiful dead creature of unspeakable horror).

Medic Soldier (must be a good medic soldier capable of doing medic soldier stuff).

Crazy-Looking Old Dude (must be able to pass for an old Italian man and say “morti viventi!)

Che Rivera (one of the mayor’s flunky bodyguards)

Mr. White (another mayor bodyguard)

Dr. Lila McCracken (sexy Dr. of the base. Beautiful, Intimidating, Dominant, and being capable of almost having sex with Adam Dragin at all costs before being turned to the dead side).

Adam Dragin (employee of the corporate military base. Capable of almost having sex with sexy Dr. Lila McCracken and instead becoming her dead awake dinner).

Pirate #1 and #2 (and probably many more) (capable of pirating lowly refugees on their way to military zombie slaughter. Must be able to pillage and cause trouble).

R. Saunders (bumbling scientist capable of being yelled at by Dr. Jevans)

4-5 scientists (several scientists who pretty much end up as zombie treats)

I need two news announcers. (they need to be good CNN, CNNHL, FOX, MSNBC types - Hannity, O’Riley, Olberman, Cavuto, Scarborough, Robin Mead, etc…)

1 or 2 talk show hosts. (one is political talk show like Meet the Press, one is ultra crazy - a sort of Springer, Oprah, Sally Jesse, Geraldo types, very sensationalist)

1 or 2 Radio announcers (politically charged)

3 or 4 show guests for the above mentioned to host on their various shows.

and last but not least…

The President of the United States (to anyone that dares)

So along with the mentioned parts there will be an infinite number of extra roles available including soldiers, technicians, scientists, refugee’s, pirates, and of course especially zombies.
